The Doctoral Programme in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology fosters student mobility by offering training activities that typically require mobility, encouraging students to pursue the "International Doctor" Mention for their doctorate's degree, and facilitating access to the necessary financial support.
Training activities
The following specific training activities that must be completed on a compulsory or optional basis usually require students to travel.

Compulsory training activities
• CTA2: Attendance to a specialised training course (ESMolNa)
• CTA3: Presentation of research results at national or international scientific conferences

Optional training activities
• OTA2: Mobility. Stays in Higher Education Institutions or Research Centres
• OTA4: Attendance to other specialised training courses: scientific schools
• OTA5: Attendance to conferences
• OTA6: Other presentations of papers at national or international scientific conferences

Detailed information about the training activities can be found here.
International Doctor Mention
The PhD program encourages its students to get the "International Doctor" mention for their doctorate's degree. Having an international mention for a doctoral thesis enhances global recognition and increases career opportunities abroad. It also promotes academic collaboration and networking with researchers from diverse backgrounds.

Financial support
In order to undertake this mobility, students have access to the necessary funding to cover the costs (accommodation, travel, living expenses, etc.) through:

1. Mobility grants associated with the student's scholarship or contract, whether for programmes run by the Ministry (FPI or FPU), programmes funded by the Autonomous Communities, by the European Union (Marie Curie grants, Initial Training Networks, COST Action, etc.) or the universities' own scholarship programmes.
