Research staff from the Institute of Molecular Science of the Universitat de València (ICMol), together with the institute’s knowledge transfer team, have taken part in the course “Scientific Entrepreneurship for Researchers”, organised by Fundación LAB Mediterráneo in collaboration with AccenT.

The programme, aimed at GenT researchers, also included the participation of ICMol researchers, who were invited to join this training initiative focused on developing new skills linked to scientific entrepreneurship and knowledge transfer.

Held during the month of May at EDEM Escuela de Empresarios, the course aims to help research staff incorporate new tools to connect scientific activity with innovation environments and explore possible applications of their results beyond the laboratory.

During the training, participants worked on key aspects such as Design Thinking, business strategy and planning, ideation and prototyping of solutions, and high-impact communication. These tools make it possible to approach research from new perspectives and help knowledge generated in research centres to be transferred to society and industry.

ICMol’s participation in this initiative is part of its commitment to knowledge transfer and to the valorisation of the research carried out at the institute. The support of the knowledge transfer team also strengthens the connection between scientific activity, the business sector and innovation opportunities.

This course adds to other actions aimed at bringing scientific research closer to new fields of application, fostering dialogue between science, business and society.
