The Institute of Molecular Science of the Universitat de València held a new Innovation Breakfast on 10 June, a session aimed at companies, organisations and professionals interested in technology transfer, intellectual property and innovation.

The event, held at the SS6 Seminar Room at ICMol, featured the participation of Quantum Leap and focused on how a well-designed intellectual property strategy can help transform research results into real opportunities for impact, collaboration and the development of new projects.

During the session, key topics were addressed, including intellectual property strategy beyond patents, the valorisation of research results, market opportunities arising from scientific activity, as well as collaboration pathways with companies and licensing models.

The event included presentations by Maurizio Berti Earnshow, CTO at Quantum Leap, part of Engineering Group, and a specialist in microelectronics, open innovation, technology transfer and collaboration with research centres, SMEs and large industrial groups; and Barbara Sanavio, a specialist in technology scouting, intellectual property valuation, market positioning, IP strategy, business modelling and strategic partnerships.

This Innovation Breakfast forms part of the activities promoted by ICMol Transfer to strengthen the connection between scientific research and the business sector, fostering spaces for dialogue around innovation, knowledge protection and technology transfer.

Through this initiative, the Institute of Molecular Science of the Universitat de València reinforces its commitment to research valorisation and to creating opportunities for collaboration between academia, companies and other stakeholders in the innovation ecosystem.
