Carlos Martí Salgado, PhD in Chemistry from the University of Valencia, has just been awarded with the "SUSCHEM Young Chemistry Researchers”, in the postdoc category, for a paper published in 2010 in Nature Chemistry.

The jury, chaired by Nazario Martín, president of the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry (RSEQ) has recognized the "excellent scientific publication Coexistence of Superconductivity and magnetism by chemical design" worthy of this award given in its third edition by SUSCHEM- ES, the Spanish technology platform on sustainable chemistry.

Carlos Martí-Gastaldo earned his PhD in Chemistry in 2009 at the Universidad de Valencia (ICMol) under the supervision of Prof. E. Coronado and Dr. J. R. Galán-Mascarós in the field of molecular and solid-state multifunctional magnetic materials. After receiving a Marie Curie Fellowship, he has recently joined the group leaded by Prof. M. J. Rosseinsky at the University of Liverpool to explore the design of advanced multifunctional bio-inspired Metal-Organic Frameworks.
