Background
Carmen Martínez López is an innovation and technology transfer professional with more than 15 years of experience working at the intersection of science, entrepreneurship, and innovation ecosystems. With a background in Environmental Sciences, her career has focused on connecting research, business, and investment to transform knowledge into solutions with real societal impact.
Before joining the Institute of Molecular Science (ICMol) at the University of Valencia, she worked in European R&D projects, innovation management, and entrepreneurship support, including serving as Executive Director of BIGBAN, one of Spain’s leading business angel networks.
At ICMol, she contributes to the Technology Transfer Department by supporting researchers in identifying valorisation opportunities and strengthening connections between scientific research and industry.
