Unit of excellence María de Maeztu: ICMol has been recognized as a Unit of excellence María de Maeztu since 2015. The research excellence and international leadership of this Unit have been strongly reinforced in this frame as shown by its research outputs.

SOMMa+ network: As an entity recognised as a centre of excellence, ICMol is part of the SOMMa+ network (alliance of Severo Ochoa centres and María de Maeztu units), whose main objective is to establish an ecosystem capable of attracting and nurturing scientific talent and promoting disruptive and frontier research, following the principles of excellence, integrity, continuous evaluation, competitiveness and international cooperation.
