The Institute of Molecular Science (ICMol) of the University of Valencia is holding the ICMol Summer Campus from 9 to 11 July. This is an introductory experience into the world of research in nanoscience and molecular materials aimed at third- and fourth-year bachelor’s degree students in scientific disciplines.

The school is designed for students who wish to begin their journey into science and research in fields related to nanoscience and molecular materials, which are disciplines with great impact in various sectors such as biomedicine, electronics, pharmacy or materials science.

20 university students, primarily from physics, chemistry and engineering degrees, are taking part in this 2024 edition.

The ICMol Summer Campus offers students the possibility to learn about the work dynamics and scientific equipment of a leading research centre dedicated to molecular nanoscience and which has the ministerial accreditation of Maria de Maeztu Unit of Excellence.

The three-day programme includes a series of talks covering the different lines of research at this centre of the Universy of Valencia dedicated to the design of functional materials, the development of applications for molecular electronics and the experimental study of the magnetic, electrical and optical properties of materials, among others.

The event is being held in the Auditorium of the UV research institutes located in the university's Science Park. The detailed programme can be accessed on the ICMol website.
