About us
Our core research deals with understanding the physics of material growth on surfaces and developing atomically ordered materials and heterostructures on large-area substrates. Fundamental objectives are to explore and discover singular physical properties upon material doping, strain or quantum confinement and visualize emergent phenomena at interfaces of structurally and/or chemically dissimilar materials. On a more applied perspective, our scalable growth technique (molecular-beam epitaxy) allows to harvest complex physical phenomena (such as topological properties or low-dimensional spin physics) into functional devices for electronic, spintronic and energy conversion applications.
